In our Moorish Literature, our Holy and Divine Prophet Noble Drew Ali instructs us:
"I urge you to remember there is work enough for all to do in helping to build a better
world. The problems of life are largely social and economic. In a profound sense, they are moral and spiritual. Have lofty
conceptions of your duties to your country and fellowman in general, and especially those with whom you deal. This includes
such honesty and righteousness as will cause you to put yourself in the other fellow's place. Look for the best in other's
and give them the best that is in you. Have a deeper appreciation for womanhood. Brighten the hopes of our youth in order
that their courage be increased to dare to do wondrous things. Adhere at all times to the principles of Love, Truth, Peace,
Freedom and Justice."
It is truly a blessing for us to be able to partake in this "Uplifting Work," in hopes that we can truly begin
to make a profound impact in a positive way on helping to rebuild the very communities that so many of us have helped to destroy.
Moors Reaching Back is truly an "Inspired" concept, because we as prisoners owe
so much to our communities and society in general, and we are dedicated to coming Home as Upright, Independent, and Fearless
Men, who's Hearts and Minds have been changed for the better. We now seek to inspire our Youth and encourage our Women to
be the very best that they can be, and inspire other Boys and Men like us, who may be headed down a path of destruction, to
turn their lives around and become Positive Influences within their communities.
However, this "Uplifting Work" would not be possible without the Love, Understanding,
Support, and Encouragement of one of the more Beautiful and Profoundly Angelic Sisters that we have ever met, Sister Roxie
Ann Deku. It is because of her tireless efforts, continued dedication, love and support, that through the Moorish Word we are able to do the great works that we are doing today. She has sacrificed her time and energy
without fault, to see that we are blessed to get our message out to the people. And through the Moorish Word, we ere making a difference.
Although Sis. Deku does not complain, and gives us her all in this laudable endeavor, the Truth of the matter is
that it takes money to maintain this Uplifting work. Monies that up until now have come solely out of Sister Roxie Ann Deku’s
own pockets. Monies I might ad that she really does not have to spare. However,
coming to us in the same Spirit of Coretta Scott King, Betty Shabazz, Harriett Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and every other “Great”
Woman in history dedicated to fulfilling a cause, she truly deserves our Love, Our Support, and our Divine Thanks for all
her sacrifices. But she could also use our HELP!
Therefore, we are encouraging our families, friends, well wishers and supporters, if you are able in finance etc.,
to aid us in keeping this Uplifting Work alive. At this time we are in need of Computer Ink for Printing, Hewlett Packard
6210 model, black and tri color ink, Envelopes, New U.S Postage Stamps, and of course Cash Donations. We are not asking anyone
to sacrifice more than they are able, but we asking that you help us in keeping this Uplifting Work alive.
If you would like to support this laudable endeavor, please send any of the above mentioned items to:
Sis. Roxie Ann Deku
3900 W. 22nd Lane Apt #10G Yuma, Arizona 85364
We Thank You in Advance for your time and consideration in this matter, and we look forward to receiving your support
that we may continue our work of Uplifting
Fallen Humanity, and Daring our Men and to do wondrous things!!
Make All Checks and Money Orders Payable to: Roxie Ann Deku
Thank you
