MOORS REACHING BACK

      In the Holy Koran of the Moorish Science Temple of America, in Chapter 30, HOLY INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE PROPHET, THE SOCIAL DUTIES, it teaches us, "When thy consider thy wants, when thy beholdeth thy imperfections, acknowledge His goodness, 0 son of humanity, who honored thee with humanity, endowed thee with speech, and placed thee in society to receive and confer reciprocal helps and mutual obligations, protection from injuries, thy enjoyments of the comforts and the pleasures of life: all these thou owest to the assistance of others, and couldest not enjoy but in the bands of society. It is thy duty, therefore, to be a friend to mankind, as it is thy interest that man should be friendly to thee.”  

      Unfortunately, most of the brothers who are dedicated members of the Moorish Science Temple of America, and this respective Missionary Branch Temple, did not learn this lesson until it was already too late. At the time, we thought that having money, women, cars, and the other so-called comforts in life, was truly what life was all about. However, as we have grown into the consciousness of who we are as individuals, and "Contributors" to society, we now realize that it is not the taking, but rather the giving back that makes one whole. It is the sharing with those who are less fortunate than ourselves, despite the physical restraints that we are witnessing in our lives, who really and truly need our help, and your help in being able to enjoy so many things that we take for Granted!
